Ready to optimize your tracking performance ?
Didomi gave us the flexibility we needed to manage consent internationally, and Addingwell let us go much further on the quality and security of our tracking. Together, they give us a data stack we can truly rely on.
Dayuse is the pioneering global platform for booking hotels by the day. Present in nearly 28 countries, with offices in Paris, Hong Kong, and Canada, the platform operates primarily across the French, British, American, and Asian markets, attracting millions of visitors every month.
Traffic is split roughly 80% mobile web, with strong native app adoption in Asian markets. Dayuse operates on a commission-based model, where a share of revenue is paid back to partner hotels.
Challenge
Before deploying Didomi and Addingwell, Dayuse faced several major challenges:
- An internal consent solution that didn't scale. Dayuse managed its own cookie banner in-house. As the platform grew internationally, with different regulations from country to country, this homegrown solution became difficult to maintain, evolve, and connect to the existing data ecosystem.
- Client-side tracking limitations. Browser-side tracking had significant gaps: ad blockers, browser restrictions, signal loss. Dayuse was only able to collect data for 86% of its users, which hurt the reliability of its analysis and the steering of acquisition campaigns.
- Sensitive business data exposed on the client side. Dayuse operates on a commission-based model, and the percentages paid back to hotels are confidential. This information was passing through the client side, making it potentially accessible via the data layer or source code to any knowledgeable user.
- GDPR compliance to ensure in an international context. With a presence in 28 countries, Dayuse had to manage consent configurations tailored to each local regulation a level of complexity impossible to absorb with an in-house solution.
Solution
To address these challenges, Dayuse chose to rely on the Didomi/Addingwell ecosystem, combining a CMP with server-side tracking.

Didomi: a flexible, compliant, multi-country CMP
- Deployment of the Didomi consent banner on web and mobile app
- Differentiated configurations by country, closely matching local regulations (GDPR in Europe, US regulations, Asia, etc.)
- Full design customization, with the bottom banner format retained after A/B testing, found to be less intrusive and more favorable to navigation
- A/B tests run on format (banner vs. pop-up) and wording, with significant results at each iteration
- Smooth integration with data orchestration, so each tag's firing is conditioned on user consent
Addingwell: managed, high-performance, tailor-made server-side
- Migration to server-side tracking (Server-Side GTM), with GA4 and Google Ads configured as priorities
- Server-side encryption of commission data: the percentages paid back to hotels are now calculated and transmitted exclusively server-side, never passing through the user's browser
- GTM servers deployed with subdomains aligned to each Dayuse domain, a prerequisite for server-side tracking to work properly
- Infrastructure operational within two weeks, including server provisioning and integration work on Dayuse's side
- 99.999% uptime: critical infrastructure reliability for a high-traffic international platform
Results
The combination of Didomi and Addingwell delivered concrete, lasting gains for Dayuse:
- +12 points of tracking coverage, going from 86% to 98% of users tracked thanks to server-side
- ~70% average consent rate, measured and continuously optimized thanks to Didomi

Thanks to these improved metrics:
Conclusion
In a complex regulatory environment and a demanding international market, Dayuse managed to turn its data constraints into a genuine competitive advantage. With the Didomi CMP and server-side tracking managed by Addingwell, the platform now has a data collection ecosystem that is reliable, secure, and easily scalable, capable of handling millions of monthly sessions while ensuring compliance in every market.
The data collected is richer, better leveraged, and feeds acquisition platforms more precisely, improving overall marketing performance. And sensitive business data, like commissions, now stays protected exactly where it should be: on the server side.
This case shows that a modern data strategy rests above all on trust, signal quality, and compliance. For an international platform like Dayuse, relying on an end-to-end solution, from consent to tracking, with Didomi and Addingwell is a decisive lever for sustaining performance and the relationship of trust with its users and hotel partners.
